The First Step Towards Self-Love
Alight so self-love starts with accepting yourself which is understandably a super hard process and takes a lot of time and hard work. It takes a lot of time but you should take the first step. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you’re beautiful and smile at yourself. Idk what you’re insecure about but I don’t need to know that. U need to stop giving into socially constructed standards of beauty because that way you’re not being YOU and self-love is all about loving yourself.
It has taken me 15 years to realize that the fat in my body does not matter nor does my body hair,
and yes I’m aware it’s not a lot but even accepting lil things was a huge battle. You don’t need
to change to look beautiful!
Let’s make something clear, body dysmorphia is real.
It is a mental condition when a person spends a lot of their time worrying about their flaws. People at any age can have this but it’s most common in teenagers and young adults.
So what you look like should not affect your likelihood to experience mental health and conventionally “pretty” girls
also deserve to love themselves. EVERYONE deserves to respect/love their bodies regardless of size/looks.
A Phrase That Helped To Transform My Self-Esteem:
“Another woman’s beauty does not take away your own beauty”
Affirmation will change your life!!! Do it every morning like “omgg, I’m literally soo stunning,
I’m soo beautiful”. If you don’t love yourself right now… you won’t love yourself even with your
“ideal body”. Confidence comes from within you and its okay to not be confident sometimes 🙂
In a world of filters and face tune, it’s important to remember skin texture is NORMAL and
whoever implied that smaller chests are less feminine needs to be arrested. Big or small, we
love them all. Your body will never be the same as someone else’s. It absolutely is different and
that’s what’s soo beautiful about it.
And if there’s something you want to change about yourself, not saying in everyone’s case at all and if someone is happy with their size love that for them because we love and respect em, but
for example, someone constantly complains about being overweight, they should wait around and like GO FOR WHAT THEY WANT, that’s self-development which largely comes under self-love.
Now repeat this after me, “I’m soo beautiful, I’m doing the best I can and that’s enough, today will be a good day! I am so loved” and now hug yourself. Self-love is important 🙂
